Mission Statement

The mission of Southwest Minnesota Chess is to promote the game of chess in southwest Minnesota and the adjoining tri-state area. We exist to help individuals and groups interested in chess by identifying, networking with, and assisting those who wish to become involved with chess as participants or sponsors. Our goal is to help promote the game of chess through the organization of clubs and the promotion of scholastic and USCF- rated tournaments.
